About InnerStead Therapy
About Me
Choosing a therapist is a personal decision. It is important that you feel understood, respected, and safe enough to explore what you are experiencing.
I am a UK-trained and BACP-accredited therapist offering online therapy for adult women (18+). My work supports women who feel emotionally overwhelmed, anxious, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or disconnected from themselves or others.
Many of the women I work with are high-functioning on the outside but feel depleted, self-critical, or unsure how to prioritise their own needs. Others come to therapy during periods of transition, loss, cultural conflict or identity change. Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what you are carrying.
My Approach
My approach is warm, structured, and psychologically informed. I aim to create a therapeutic space that feels contained, collaborative, and non-judgemental.
Therapy is not about fixing you or giving quick advice. It is about:
Understanding emotional and relational patterns
Exploring how past experiences continue to shape present responses
Developing greater emotional awareness and self-compassion
Strengthening boundaries and personal agency
The pace of therapy is guided by you. Some clients prefer focused, short-term work; others choose longer-term therapy. We will review this together and adjust as needed.
A Culturally Sensitive Space
I work with women from diverse cultural backgrounds and understand that emotional wellbeing does not exist in isolation from culture, family expectations, identity, and social context.
You do not need to explain or justify your background. These aspects of your experience can be explored openly and respectfully, at your pace, if and when they feel relevant.
